SOHO Wines Evening of Wine and Food

The popular Wine and Food evenings are back with an amazing selection of truly brilliant wines from SOHO presented by Manly Liquor at Manly Bar and Grill, right in the heart of the village. Don't delay getting a ticket as all these nights have all sold out previously. Just $75 each for five wines and glasses - and if you buy a few cases at the great prices on the night, you might even find it was a free night out!

More menu details will be posted as they come to hand so stay tuned, but you know it's going to be good. MBG do a great job with food for our wines, you know they do!

The five wines for the night are:

STELLA SAUVIGNON BLANC

This has fast become a best seller for us with our quality buyers after we did a tasting of it a couple of weeks ago, we can hardly keep the shelves stocked. It's a gorgeous, smooth, complex Sauvignon Blanc well deserving of it's three five star reviews.

JAGGER PINOT GRIS

A truly stunning Gris, Gold Medal Winner at the NZ International Wine Awards and a 5 star review from Sam Kim underline the quality in this wine. Sam tells us it's mouth filling and gorgeously perfumed, pear and spice on the pallete. Just beautiful!

CARTER CHARDONNAY

One of our favourite customers has just about cleared us out of our first small stock level of this amazing Chardonnay. From SOHO's Waiheke Island vineyards, this beautiful Chardonnay has garnered 5 star reviews from Bob Campbell, Sam Kim and Gournet Wine Traveller. Between them they use words like generous fruit, creamy, silky and "obvious cellaring potential".

REVOLVER MERLOT BLEND

With 5 stars from Sam Kim and a win at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards, this is a stunning Merlot based wine, and again from the Waiheke Island vineyards. Sam Kim says "Lovely harmony and integration, promising to evolve graciously". Lovely words about a truly awesome red wine.

McQUEEN PINOT NOIR

One of SOHO's most awarded wines, McQueen is from their Central Otago vineyards and comes with three Gold Medals and a five star review from both Raymond Chan and Sam Kim. Of it Chan writes "This is an elegant and refined Pinot Noir with black cherry fruit, lifted florals and a poised and fresh mouthfeel."
