Four beer delights from the Renaissance Brewing team
This Friday, the 26th, we'll rip the top off five great Renaissance beers.
MPA Double/Imperial IPA
Showcases the lovely piney, apricot and stone fruit flavours that Rakau is capable of, balancing its flavour and bitterness against a strong malty full bodied Ale. A hop bomb with approximately 120 hops per bottle. ABV:8.5%
Explosion of passionfruit and citrus aromas - the signature of the Riwaka hop variety. On the palate the initial biscuity malt sweetness is soon joined by those zingy tropical fruit hop notes and leads into a racy tart finish. ABV:4%.
Enlightenment ‘Boom’ West Coast India Pale Ale
This beer is an American style double IPA. Boom has a light but balanced malt body giving the hops the chance to do the talking with citrus ,stone fruit and tropical notes balanced with pine flavoured hops then a big hit of long lingering bitterness to finish. It has great balance between USA hops, bittering and sweetness from British and German malts and alcohol leading to superb length of flavours. ABV:8.5% IBU:95
Stonecutter Scotch Ale
Nine malts are blended together to produce layers of caramel, toffee, liquorice, chocolate and smoky flavours. These layers are balanced by a tart, raisiny fruitiness that give this dark beer a lingering dry finish. ABV:7%.
Voyager India Pale Ale
Inspired by the boldly hoppy Ales of old that were exported from Britain to the furthest corners of her vast and glorious empire, Voyager I.P.A. is a rich satisfying Ale with an emphatic hop bite. ABV:6%.
