...so true again, every weekend we offer you some great tasting choices, and this week we've bought back two best sellers for those who haven't tried them yet.
Wooing Tree Beetlejuice Pinot Noir
Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak, 27% new, have resulted in a very approachable and rich wine, with aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries and Black Doris plums, a rich and silky smooth palate with fine grainy tannins to match the fruit. Excellent value, drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years. Cellar door price $28, our price $25.99.
Pillar Box Shiraz
You'll open this to the bouquet of cherry, caraway seed and spearmint, then as you taste it you'll enhance that amazing aroma with aniseed, blackberry and plum on the palate. This wine is fermented with oak in tank Maturation — 60% French and 40% American oak for 10 months. It's a gorgeous classical Aussie Shiraz and at $19.99 is a superb dinner wine.
Falconhead Hawkes Bay Merlot Cabernet
The results of the superb 2013 vintage are immediately evident from the deep vibrant red of this wine. The aromas of blackberries, juniper berry, and chocolate plum. The palate is full bodied with sweet ripe fruit flavours supported by fine chalky tannins.
Post fermentation the wine was transferred to barrel for 12 months maturation in new and used French oak barriques. It's comprised Merlot 94%, Cabernet Sauvignon 6%.
“Firm, concentrated red from the Bridge Pa Triangle, with excellent depth of plum, spice and nutty oak flavours” Winestate Wine Reviews.
Amazing value at just $13.99, a saving on prices elsewhere of up to $15.99.
de Vine Gisborne Chardonnay
This classically developed Chardonnay tops the pops for value. Its buttery style produces a genuinely opulent style of wine in the mouth, and the fruit are there as well to give a well rounded and delightful full white wine. You'll love the price too, just $16.99 makes this an unbeatable Chardonnay from the classical full style.
See you this weekend!
